Week 9 - Challenge 2 - Switch Bezel Design

Hello,

Review of Draft Analysis of Class A & Final Product

Class A :

Pulling direction of Machine should be Z.

Red part showing here (0-3 degree) respective of Tooling axis is 1.3 degree and everything else is green.

Creation of Tooling Axis:

For the Tooling axis we have the base suface, On that surface we have create tooling axis and this create three tapper Surface.

For two surface that are in X direction we intersect to plan and we get two slop line. Bisecting of those two line became first Tooling axis. Another Surface does not have two tapper surface, So we assume tooling axis is angle form tapper surface. In this case that angle is 8 degree. Cause we can not create two parallel line so minimum degree is 3 degree (maximum draft angle).

In this case we have give another 3 degree clearance (Total = 6 degree). In my part I have give 8 degree. Now we have two tooling axis

Thus Bisecting this two dummy tooling axis give us orignal Tooling axis.

For this reason we can see that red color in that slop Surface.
