Week 9 - Attachment Feature Creation (Ribs & Screw Boss) - Challenge 1

REPORT :

AIM : To Create the Screw boss for the Drill Handle considering the design rules mentioned in the video.

DRAFT ANALYISIS : The Body were having .5 degree draft towards Tooling axis so i changed the value to be maximum of .4 since the minimum draft angle can be .5 since i have given .4 which gives the whole inside upper body same color .

CREATING THE TOOL AXIS : Since it was a Cuboidal Type of Body So the Tooling Axis can be perpendicular to the base of the body in which all the parts of the body can be seen and it was through Y-axis .

RIBS AND SCREW BOSS : I had made the ribs and screw boss design following the design rules as the height is 5 times the base width and it was 3 mm width thickness and height is made 15 and given draft angle of .5 degree and the fillets to be .25 according to the design rule .Since i couldnt follow the design rule for rib spacing of 3:1 and 2:1 since by the figure given the spacing between the ribs were more than that .
