DRAFT ANALYSIS OF THE CLASS A SURFACE

DRAFT ANALYSIS OF FINAL BODY

REPORT

Draft analysis is done to check if the final body is given a draft angle or not, it is carried out by the draft analysis option in which the final component is set into material only mode and a compass is fixed to the tooling axis, and the component is clicked to received a diffrent colored body in which diffrent areas shows diffrent colors according to the color code set.

also,

  • Draft analysis command enables you to identify whether the component you drafted will be easily removed or not.
  • After performing draft analysis we will be able to recognize the material with draft according to the colours allotted, according to the colours we can able to predict whether the component is how much drafted.
  • Tooling direction defines you, that in which direction that the component is being removed and the tooling direction was the main consideration for both plastic parts and mould parts.

TOOLING AXIS

Tooling axis is created normal to the class A surface by simply considering a point in a spot of the component where when applied into normal mode we can see the entire component after the a tooling line is created normal to that point.

CREATION OF CLASS B AND C

Class B is created by offsetting the Class A surface and filling the patches by using multisections or by extracting and trimming off the required portion and after this process a boundary is applied to check if the component we created is closed or not and after receiving a closed boundary we used the sweep command with respect to the body at 90 degree to receive a class C surface in the required direction after this the class B and B is joined and trimmed together with class A to get a complete ody.
