Week 9 - Attachment Feature Creation - Challenge 2
DRAFT ANALYSIS FOR THE GIVEN CLASS A SURFACE:

Conclusion:
From the draft analysis, it is evident that the most of the given class A surface draft is more than 3 degree to the selected tooling axis. Hence it is feasible to manufacture.

Findings:
However, the draft analysis should negative draft for the below two surfaces.
As this is CLASS A surface, we need to check with respective styling team to enquire about this negative draft and get it corrected feasible for manufacturing.

DRAFT ANALYSIS FOR THE FINAL PLASTIC COMPONENT (Image 1):

Conclusion:
From the draft analysis, it is evident that the final plastic components draft is more than 3 degree to the selected tooling axis. Hence it is feasible to manufacture.

Tooling Axis:
I extracted a surface from Class A, as shown in below image and created an axis perpendicular to the extracted surface.As the selected axis cleared almost all the surface, I made it as my Tooling Axis.

Tooling Axis without Class A Surface:

Side Core Axis:
I created this side core axis perpendiclau to my tooling axis.
This axis is created to check the draft analysis of dog house feature.

Design Rules followed for Dog House feature:

Thickess of Door Trim:2.5mm
C= 40% of thickness, (1mm)
B= 4mm (B can be 3 to 6mm).
Draft=0.5 Degree
