AIM:- Create the dog house for center console coin holder considering design rules.

General Rules For dog house design.

Create the Dog House for the Door Trim considering the design rules mentioned in the video.

"C" is where the doghouse contacts the backside of the surface

• Doghouse wall thickness at the intersection of the part wall ( C ) should be 40% or less than the main wall stock ( T ).

• The height of ( B ) should be between 3.0 – 6.0 mm.

Dog House Design:-

Click on sketch option and make coin holder B-surface as base.

Extract The surface by 1.5deg for outer surface with draft direction as of your Tooling Direction.

Close the upper surface by extracting below surface and after that trim the surface.

Now Thicken the part by 2.5mm in part body.

Now for inside edges of dog house clearance create side core tooling axis in z-direction.

Give Draft Direction with side core axis for inside edge of dog house.

Now to Create B and C section as shown in design rules, offset base surface in between by 3 to 6 mm.

Again, provide draft direction to the inside surface as shown.

Give inner radius as thickness 0.4*T=0.4*2.5=1mm and outer radius inner + thickness= 1+2.5=3.5mm.

For Draft Analysis, check 0.48deg for dog house in mtd and for side core.

Conclusion:- We have designed dog house with proper dimension and draft analysis.
