Now going to design Doghouse and Screw Boss.

Screw Boss Design:

Drawn sketch on the Class B surface, use Pad comment for the sketch.

Use Draft angle as per design consideration 0.5°.

It’s assembled with main body. Same Sketch copy and paste one more time and for supporting rib drawn sketch in that, use Pad Comment.

As per design consideration given 0.5° draft angle and assembled with main body.

Given edge Fillet all the area as per requirement.

Draft analysis screw Boss:

Dog House Design:

Advantage of Dog House Design:

  • Avoid Shrink mark
  • We can solve the length issue
  • Perpendicular Screw boss also we can put with the help of Dog House

Extract the base of Class B surface from the assembly. Create one Point on the extracted surface and Drawn one sketch for the Dog House.

Use Sweep comment with draft direction. Angle given as 0.5°, Draft direction taken as tooling axis.

Frist Extract surface offset upward direction 20mm. Use trim operation to make fill upper surface also.

Use thickness comment and given thickness 2.5mm.

Dog house inside body surface extract, given offset 1mm.As per Design consideration 40% of the wall thickness.

=0.4*2.5mm=1mm. Height Taken as 4mm. Extrapolate both the surface and trim done .

Split operation done with Dog House body to make desire shape. Draft angle give 0.5° for inside body, side tooling axis taken.
