Week 9 - Attachment Feature Creation - Challenge 2
Design Of DOOR TRIM - Dog house From given CLASS A

TREE STRUCTURE

At, first we will create the closed body .
CLASS A

TOOLING AXIS : It is the direction along which core and cavity moves, here in door trim , we can able to see the component from Y AXIS, so we will make the tooling axing along y direction.

DRAFT analysis

hence , our class A is clearing our component with 3 degree draft
class b : It is 2.5 mm offset from the given class A

AFTER offset, some fillets are not properly offsetted below, therfore, we will repair the class b , using multisection solid
repaired class b

CLASS C : It is used to join the class A and class B . It is done on class A SURFACE.
It is done by sweep method with 3 degree draft.

join class A and CLASS C

Final trim

solid body by close surface method

draft analysis of solid body

creation of B Features
DOG HOUSE : It is a feature which supports the other featureslike heat stakes, screw boss and locators to locate them at a certain height , where we cannot violate the design for the feature creation.
design principal need to follow

draft analysis for the dog house

for side core clear, we need side core axis :
In this we have provided coring ( to remove material from the solid parts ) which is 6 mm from the b surface , in order avoid sink marks ( this defect sin marks is created due to thick surface as a result depression formed )
