Week 9 - Attachment Feature Creation - Challenge 2

Dog house is an engineering feature used in plastic trim design. Dog houses are used as supporting feature. Sometimes other engineering features like snaps; locators etc. are mounded on them to increase their strength.

Here,

The dog house is created by the following design rules.

1. Draft of minimum 1.5 degree too the dog house.
2. Minimum height of 6mm is maintained.As less than 6mm causes weak steel condition.
3. Dog hoise wall thickness at intersection of part wall (c) should be 40% or less than main wall stock(t). 2.5 x 0.4 = 1mm. So,c =1 mm is maintained.
4. T a height of 3-6 mm is maintained and created the dog house with these consideration.

Construction:-

The A surface is imported.

The B surface is created by offsetting the A class surface for 2.5mm.

Patches created are solved by using the commands of fill,blend and sweep.

The c surface is created by sweep command with reference of A surface.

Joining of A,B,C forms the final component for the thickness of 2.5 mm.

And dog houses are created by above mentioned design rules consideration.
