Week 8 - Challenge 2 - Switch Bezel Design

steps followed to create the switch bezel component through the given Class A surface.By taking the thickness of the component to 2.5 mm

  • tooling axis have been created using the bisecting line method.
  • draft analysis have been done on the Class A surface using the tooling direction.
  • Class B Surface
    • surfaces have been extracted from the class A surfaces.
    • extracted surface have been untrimmed and surfaces are extended using extrapolation command.
    • surfaces are trimmed and offset to 2.5mm
    • required fillets are created for the final surface
  • Class C Surface
    • Boundaries are extracted from the class A surfaces.
    • smooth curve command is used for smoothening the boundary curves to make easy for the sweep command from drafting tool axis.
    • boundary 1 and boundary 2 are trimmed together.
  • final component
    • class A, class B, class C surfaces are joined and trimmed together to form a final component with the thickness of 2.5mm
  • drating analysis
