Week 9 - Attachment Feature Creation - Challenge 1

The rib can be created on a coin holder and conduct the draft analysis on rib which obeys 0.5 draft angle projection.

To create a rib on a coin holder we need to considered the following guidelines for the creation of ribs on it.

1)Draft angle

2)Thickness

3)Height

4)Spacing

5)Thickness at top

6)optional radius

7)Design suggestions.

The draft analysis of the rib can be made with a minimum draft angle of 0.5 degree which obey the draft analysis of the component.

The multi section of the solid model can be shown above in front view,top view,isometric views.

Firstly we need to check the boundary condition of the coin holder which shows only a single boundary conditions.

Multi extract the walls which are on the sides of the component in coin holder.

perform extract opertaions on the side walls and untrim the side walls and extrapolate the component which gives you the proper structure in draft analysis.

After extrapolating the side walls just offset it to a distance of 3 mm from the component.

After extrapolating the component we should apply the trimming operation to get the proper shape of the component.

To create a side tooling direction of the component we have to perform the bisecting line operation so to get a side core bisecting component.

After doing these steps conduct the same opertaions on the top walls to get a exact shape of the component which is used to create a Class B surface .
