Week 9 - Attachment Feature Creation - Challenge 1
1) Objectives
*) To create Ribs for Coin holder plastic component by considering all the design rules.
2) Requirements
*) Tooling Axis :- which the requirements of draft analysis
*) Component Thickness :- 2.5mm
3) Procedure
*) Draw the sketch for rib where it is to be attached
*) Extrude it to the height as per calculation which meet the design rule
*) Thicken it & give the draft on either side as per required
*) Assemble it with the main part feature.
*) Finally give the fillet for all edges
*) Check whether the created rib meet the design requirements
--> Following are design rules needs to be consider while designing Rib.
*) Consider Component wall thickness as " t "
1) Draft :- Min. 0.5° either side
2) Rib Bottom Thickness :- 40% of wall thickness (i,e 0.4*t)
3) Min. Thickness at tip :- 0.75mm
4) Rib Height :- 5 times the wall thickness (i,e 5*t)
5) Fillet Radius :- Max. 0.25mm
6) Spacing :- Max. 3:1 Height to width ratio.
