Week 9 - Attachment Feature Creation - Challenge 1

AIM:To create the rib feature in the centre console coin holder with the provided design rule guidelines.

RIB: It is a small surface provided at the walls to increase the strength instead of increasing the thickness of the surface.Here the rib is created by extracting the base and perform a sketch on it ,by thickening the rib surface using thick surface feature it becomes a solid.

MULTI VIEW : It is the coin holder in various orientations.

The marked portion is rib shown in side view there are two ribs which is spaced in the ratio of 2:1(height of rib:space b/w ribs).

It is the intersection image of the component with rib which is the small projections in the image.

The draft analysis on the component is shown below where the rib surface is in blue color since the draft angle for the rib is 0.5 deg it is between the range 0 to 3 deg .The rib is created along the tooling axis.
