Injection molding have two major components the movable halve and the fixed halve, this two halve are pressed tightly and formed sealed hollow to avoid the melt flow leakage and maintain holding pressure, the pressed surface are called parting surface

Parting line - Internsection between the parting surface and the component where the core and cavity halve split is called parting line. the yellow dotted line showing the parting line

Core block- core is the projection part
