Week 8 - Challenge 3 - Coin Holder Design

AIM- Creating the coin holder plastic component through the A-class Ssurface and creating a solid body of the component

OBJECTIVE-

• Creating the Tooling Axis
• Performing the Draft Analysis of Class, A surface
• Creating Class B and Class C surface
• Creating the Solid body
• Performing the Draft analysis on the Solid Component

Class A Surface with tooling axis

By Creating an intersection and drawing 2 reference line on intersection we can create a bisecting which is our tooling axis

Class B side wall created using extract from class A surface, untrim it, extrapolating the surface and trimming it

Class B Surface

Creating a boundary on Class A surface and extracting the outer wall surface of class A , perform the sweep command using line profile type and Subtype as with reference surface create a sweep at angle 90 degree

Class C surface

Class B+C surface

Join the Class A +B+C surface to form single surface

Convert surface body to solid body using close surface command in part body
