Week 8 - Challenge 4 - Coin Holder Design
Design of Class B and C surfaces and creating solid part
Objective:
- Create class B and Class C surface.
- Creating tooling axis and performing draft analysis.
- Creating solid part out of the final closed surface.
- The final solid part must have a thickness of 2.5mm.
Given class A surface:

Draft analysis of the class A surface
A tooling axis is created to perform the draft analysis of the class A surface.
Two lines are created on the side wall, but, since the wall are at 90 degree to the base surface, the tooling axis is 90 degree to base surface. The draft on the part is negative.

Class B surface:
The class B surface is created by offsetting the class A surface. Operation such as untrim, extract, extrapolate and offset are used for making the class B surface

Class C surface:
This surface is made by seeping and trimming with the class B surface

Class A, B and C surface:

Closed surface:
The final closed surface is made by trimming the Class C and Class b with each other and then joining the Class A surface.

Final Surface, Solid Model and expanded feature tree:

Conclusion:
The class B and Class C surface were created and then closed surface was created. Tooling axis for the class A was created and draft analysis was done and the was found to have negative draft. The Class A, B and C were joinded together to make a final closed surface and then a solid model was created
