Week 8 - Challenge 4 - Coin Holder Design

Report:
Tooling axis creation:

  • First extract the base surface.
  • Then create a point on surface at the center (0 mm).
  • Insert an axis system.
  • Use intersect command and take an intersection of the class A surface and YZ plane.
  • Again take an intersection of class A surface and XY plane.
  • Now create a sketch at YZ plane and use projection as point and projext the sketch at the first point we created.
  • Now in the sketcher workbench, use project 3d elements command and project both the side wall lines and make it as construction element. Then use bisecting line command and select both the projected construction lines and select the point as support. Now you will have one line along YZ plane.

  • again construct another sketch along XY Plane and follow the same steps again. you will get another line along XY plane.

  • Finally using these two lines as reference, construct a bisecting line using line command from wireframe toolbar in generative shape design workbench with the first point we created at the base as the support.
