CLASS C SURFACE:

TOOLING AXIS:

Tooling Axis is the axis where the core travels to the cavity to produce the part. Hence it should be created so that its makes contact with almost every possible surface.
Since the given Class A surface has no proper side walls, producing the part is not possible since the walls are 90 degrees to the tooling direction.
The green color represents that the desgin can be produce on specified walss without any damage.
The blue color represents the inability to produce the part since the tooling axis is parellel to the side walls.

Hence it is advised to contact the Class A surface designer and request to make some changes to the part so that production will be made simple.
