Week 8 - Challenge 4 - Bumper

AIM

  • To create tooling axis for given class A surface.
  • To create class B and class C surface.
  • To create part body using closed surface command and draft analysis.

TOOLING AXIS CREATION

first we have check the boundary for given class A surface.now we have create tooling axis using bisecting line method.

B SURFACE CREATION

after creating tooling axis we have create the new geometrical nammed as b surface creation.so now we have offset the given class A surface for 3mm thickness.this class A surface

very difficult because of lot of radius is there so during offset time lot of missing patches created.now we have find the missing patches using boundary option.in this bumber design

three missing patches .first we have extract the near by missing patches and then remove the extracted surface using join operation.next we have extraploted the both missing surface

boundary and then trimmed in we get the missing patches finally join the trimmed surface along with class B surface.do the same procedure for remaining missing patches.finally weg

get the class B surface.

C SURFACE CREATION

next we have create the c surface now we have project the c surface edges using boundary option we have nine tangency edgs using boundary option.and then using sweep option with

below method:

sub type:with reference surface

guide curve 1:boundary

reference surface:class A surface

angle:90 degree

length: 4mm

do the same procedure for remaining 8 tangency surface and join the the seperated surfaces we get the c surface.

now we have join the class A and c surface

after the join class A and class C surface trimm along with B surface we get complete closed surface.and we have using closed surface option get the complete part body.

DRAFT ANALYSIS

after complete part body now we have analysis the part body using draft analysis method.

CONCLUSION

Finally we have complete the tooling axis ,class B surface and class C surface ane we got the part body for given class A surface.
