OBJECTIVE

The current objective is to Create the Switch Bezel Plastic component through the given Class-A surface.

Create a tooling axis.

Perform Draft Analysis.

TOOLING AXIS CREATION

1. Determine the orientaton of the component/surface.

2. Determine the orientation of the tooling axis in relation to the component. The tooling axis is typically perpendicular to the surface of the component. Here, by bisecting 2 lines which are created by the intersection of the profile of the surface on a vertical plane(say ZX plane), a line is created. Similarly, a line is created in the YZ plane. This 2 resultant lines are bisected again to create the tooling axis.

3. This tooling axis is then used in draft analysis.
