Week 8 - Challenge 2 - Switch Bezel Design
AIM: To Create the Switch Bezel Plastic component through the given Class-A surface. To begin with, the tooling axis for the given Class-A Surface should be created meeting the requirements of the draft angle and at the end perform the Draft analysis on the model.

Bisecting lines are drawn for the construction of Tooling Axis.

DRAFT ANALYSIS OF CLASS A SURFACE

B SURFACE CREATION
- Extraction of class A surfaces.
- Untrim the surfaces.
- Extrapolate the surface in point continuity and check all the surfaces are intersecting each other.
- Then trim and offset them to 2.5 mm towards outer direction.
- And the class B surface is ready.

CLASS C SURFACE CREATION
- With the Multiextract command select the boundary of the class A surface and sweep with the draft angle of 3 degree.
- Extrapolate the end and trim them to make the final C surface.

DRAFT ANALYSIS OF FINAL SURFACE BODY
PROCEDURE
- First the class – A surface is checked before creating the Class –B&C surface and finally the solid body must be analysed. Both can be done by following the below procedures.
- By changing the view mode to custom view parameters – Material mode then the feature draft analysis is enabled.
- Then the compass activated and placed on the tooling axis by dragging the pointer and then locked it.
- Then, by selecting the quick analysis mode, the nominal draft value will be 3 degrees and checked for the component's draft angle.
- The green colour area shows that it satisfies the 3-degree draft angle. If not satisfied then by using the Running point tool the area is measured and then altered to get a successful draft for the created tooling direction.
- In plastic design we can keep our draft angle value from 0.5 to 3 degree.
- here I got complete green in 0.5 degree analysis.
