Week 8 - Challenge 2 - Base Bracket Design
BASE BRACKET DRAFT ANALYSIS:
DRAFT ANALYSIS REPORT :
- FROM the A suraface i created a tooling axis and i created a lines and then the bisecting line.
- Then i created a Geometrical set named B Surface.
- In the B surface of the Base Bracket i have taken two Ribs separately giving with 2.5 mm offset for the both ribs indiviously and i made a operations
B surface:
- Extract
- Surface unitrim
- Extrapolation
- Offset
- Trim
- Then i have created a C surface and in it i have made operations
C surface:
- Boundary
- Sweep
- Join
- Fillet
over all features used for design A B C class surfaces:
- line
- point
- axis system
- extrude
- untrim
- extrapolate
- extract
- boundary
- join
- sweep
- fillet
- close surface
- intersecting
- publication- A B C SURFACES AND TOOLING AXIS
- draft analysis.
- FOR the solid body i have created a close surface operation in part design.
- For the sweep i have given 3 degree for the down side draft direction.
SNAPSHOTS OF GENERATIVE SHAPE DESIGN:

A class surface with tooling axis.

B class surface with 2.5 mm offset.

C CLASS SURFACE WITH OUT FINAL TRIM

Final output after trim C class with b class.

Closed solid body of Bace Bracket.
SNAPSHOTS OF FEATURE DRAFT ANALYSIS:

CONCLUSION
THUS the Manufacturable Base Bracket was successfully Designed and analyzed Draft angle using Catia V5 Surface Workbench.
