Week 8 - Challenge 5 - Core & Cavity Design
DRAFT ANALYSIS REPORT OF THE SWITCH BEZEL PLASTIC COMPONENT:
Report for the design of core and cavity Blocks for an automotive Plastic Component
- Door Switch Bazel using industry principles Such as Parting Surface,
Parting line,Draft Analysis , Draft angles, and
Determing and Implementing of Tooling axis,
class A class b Class C surfaces Maintaing 2.5 mm Thickness.
The mold designed using surface Design and solid Design Techniques.
Parting Surface:
- Generally injection Molding has 2 major components The movable half and other fixed half.
- During injection molding process there 2 halves are pressed together tightly ton form a sealed hallow to avoid the melt flow leakage and maintain certain holding pressure.
- pressed surface is called parting surface.
