Week 8-Challenge

AIM: To create 3D hexa mesh for given 3 models.

Objectives: Creating 3D hexa mesh on the given models with prefered quality criteria.

Given models:

FIG- Model 1

FIG- Model 2

FIG- Model 3

Procedure :

1. Geometry clean up/ topology: supressing the unwanted feature lines or altering the some surfaces which exceeds the given minimum element length and maximum element lenght for maintaining the quality criteria.

FIG shows model-1 model-2 model-3 inorder.

2. 2D meshing: Create 2d tria mesh on the given model.

FIG- 2D mesh on model-1 model-2 model-3.

3. Clearing quality by remeshing the 2d elements and 3D elements.

Element length : 5

Min element lenght : 2

Max element lenght : 7

tet collapse : 0.15

In model 3 there is 1 element failing for tet collapse because inneed to capture the feature.

4. Creating 3D tetra mesh with 2D elements:

3D > Tetra mesh > mesh.

deleting the 2d elements- Tool > delete > elements by config (tria 3) > delete entities.

RESULT:

can visualize 3D elements by masking few elements.

FIG- 3D tetra elements on Model-1 Model-2 Model-3.
