Week 8 - Challenge 1 - Draft Analysis on a Fan Cover
Aim - To perform the draft analysis of given class A surface .
Draft angle - Draft anagle is a taper applied to the vertical to assist with releasing the part from the mould.
Draft analysis - The draftanalysis command enables you to defect if the part you drafted will be easily removed. This type of analysis is performed based on colour ranges identifiying zones on the analyzed element whwer the deviation from the draft directon at any point , corresponds to specified values.
For the plastic components ,the 3 degree draft is nominal , for the supporting element the minimum draft value is 0.5 and for the testure surface upto 7 degree draft is nominal.
Steps involve in draft analysis of given class A surface -
Stepes for tooling axis creation -
1 First check the connectivity of the class A surface . After that we will check on join command and check that no surface gap between the surface and by the extracting of given class Asurface we can check the connectivity of the model.

2 . Create axis system at the center of the hole.

Using intersection command on fan cover class A surface
3. create dummy tooling axis -

4. Tool creaation in X direction -
Insert he axis system take the intersection of plane and the surface . Now find the line lying approximately parrel to dummy tooling axis. These are the lines which draft angle wiil be provided.

5. We will use bisectin method to find the tool clearing in X - direction
a) First thing we have to slecte two points on the lines which are approximtely parallel to tooling axis and create the lines.Same Thing we have to do on other side of dummy tooling axis as well.
b) After that we have to create a line by selecting bisecting option in the creation dialogue box.

6. Tooling clearing in Y - direction - Insert the axis syetem , take the intersection of plane and surface.

7 . We will use the bisecting method to find the tool clearing in Y direction .
a) First thing we have to slecte two points on the lines which are approximtely parallel to tooling axis and create the lines.Same Thing we have to do on other side of dummy tooling axis as well.
b) After that we have to create a line by selecting bisecting option in the creation dialogue box.

8 . Aeter that we create actual tooling axis for that a line will create by bisecting tool clearing in X direction and Y direction and that will actual tooling axis.

9. Draft analysis -
For draft analysis we have to follow some stepes click on the compass icon , drag it to the tooling axis and aling it with the tooling axis. after that we have to customize view parameter mode and selecte the material option and then we will click on the fan cover surface .

10.Now we wil check the degree of the surface for that we will go to the feature draft analysis toolbar and click the analysis under the running point option after that we move mouses cursor on the surface it gonna shows how much degree are ok then it will be ready for design.
