Week 8 - Challenge 1 - Base Bracket Design

AIM:-

To create the Base Bracket Plastic component through the given Class-A surface, by considering tooling axis and draft direction.

Class-A given surface.

Tooling Axis :-

• Using the ZX plane an intersection is to be made.
• Two lines need to be created from the points take any two of the inclines line as reference.
• Create a bisecting line for the inclination lines.
• The tooling axis is the tool movement axis (core/cavity), this axis will decide draft direction.

The above picture is result of the draft direction, The draft is considered as 3 degree.

CLASS B surface :-

By extracting the surfaces from class A and then offsetting the extracted surface we got a Class B surface that is 2mm below class A.
