Week 8 - Challenge 1 - Base Bracket Design
STEP-1
FOR PLASTIC DESIGN
1) TOOLING AXIS

The analysis is done for 3degree draft. So as can be seen all the surfaces are more than 3deg.

Create an intersection of CLASS A surface with ZX plane and from the intersection create the tooling axis as shown below

- Create a bisecting line using the lines shown above.

- THE GREEN LINE SHOWN IS TOOLING AXIS
STEP -2
CREATION OF CLASS B SUFRACE USING WITH RESPECT TO CLASS A SURFACE
- purpose of offseting class A surface and creation class B surface is that we can repair surface and can be check through curve analysis
- given fillets as per required

STEP -3
Creation of Class C Surface
- For creating this surface we have extracted the boundry of Class A using multi-extract and then converted to smooth curve.
- Now this smooth curve is swept along the draft direction with a 3deg draft.

STEP-4
TRIMMED SURFACE AND MAKE SOLID PART FOR PLASTIC MOLDING

CHECKING THE DRATING ANGLES
