Challenge

Week 8 - Challenge 1 - Base Bracket Design

AIM: Create the Base Bracket Plastic component through the given Class-A surface. To begin with, the tooling axis for the given Class-A Surface should be created meeting the requirements of the draft angle and at the end perform the Draft analysis on the model.

REPORT ON DRAFT ANALYSIS:

Given Class A Surface:

Creating a Tooling axis along :

After creating the draft analysis and it will be shown green.
Next is creating class B surface.
Initially extracting the left side rib using extract option from class A surface.

Performing the untrim operation and extrapolating in order to increase the length
Then offset the surface in order to get the required thickness.

Next extract the base and perform the same operations like, first extracting the base , untrimming the base, extrapolating

the flat surface and offset it to desired value:

the required surface:

Creating Boundary:

Now join the class A and C surface:

Next creating the class C surface
To create a Class C surface, we need to extract the boundary of Class b surface and by using sweep command we can produce a Class c surface and later join class b and class c.

Class c surface:

Next creating the class C surface
To create a Class C surface, we need to extract the boundary of Class b surface and by using sweep command we can produce a Class c surface and later join class b and class c.
