Challenge

Week 8-3D Tetra Meshing Challenge

MODEL: HOUSING

OBJECTIVE: TetraMesh Generation Method: 2D to 3D Conversion

Elements sizes: Min- 2 Units, Target- 5 Units, Max- 7 Units

Tet collapse: 0.15

PROCEDURE: a) Importing model and meshing using 2D elements with specified element size.

b) Conversion of 2D to 3D elements.

c) Deleting all the 2D elements and editing the elements which fail in tetra-mesh criteria.

FINAL FE MODEL of the given component with zero tet-collapse.

MODEL-2

OBJECTIVE-TetraMesh Generation Method: Quick Tetra Mesh/ Volume Tetra Mesh.

Target Element size: 3 Units.

Tet Collapse: 0.15.

PROCEDURE: a)Importing the geometry

b) Tetrameshing the given solid component with an element size of 3 units using the Volume tetra mesh option and checking "use curvature" and

"use proximity" option.

c) FINAL FE MODEL of the given component with zero tet collapse.

MODEL 3-

OBJECTIVE: TetraMesh Generation Method: Quick Tetra Mesh/ Volume Tetra Mesh

Target Element size: 4 Units.

Tet Collapse: 0.15

PROCEDURE:a) Importing the geometry-(PART-1)

b) Tetrameshing the given solid component with an element size of 3 units using the Volume tetra mesh option and checking "use curvature" and

"use proximity" option.

c) Editing all the elements which fail under tet collapse criteria.

FE MODEL of the geometry PART-1 with zero tet-collapse.

Performing similar operations on the other parts of the model_3
