Week- 5 - Solid meshing
OBJECTIVE: To check for the geometrical errors and mesh the Surfaces with the given 2D element Quality criteria given below.

PROCEDURE: a) Import Geometry and give length parameter as 1 for better resolution and applying TOPO for the geometry and perform geometry check-up, and fix it.

b) Applying all the Element Quality Criteria.

c) Meshing the components with trias for flat surfaces and ortho tria for curved surfaces so that curvature is captured and reconstructing all the off elements
Making all necessary cuts.

Cutting and joining lines at where the element would fail for minimum length criteria.

d) Steps followed for creating 3D elements from 2D shell elements.
Defining the elements to which we need to convert 2D to 3D. Then assign a PID for it and select the list option to edit and select TETRA RAPID and then re-meshing.
FINAL FE MODEL zero tet-collapse and zero off elements.

OUTCOMES: Learned how to perform topology clean-up.
Learned how to edit off elements and tet collapse elements.
Learned to convert 2D elements to 3D elements.
CONCLUSION: Learned which and what types of surfaces require tria and ortho-tria elements.
