PROCEDURE: a) Import CAD model into ANSA Software and run the Geometry check-up from Tools option if there are any errors selecting all and hitting on fix. Hence ANSA repairs the geometry where ever necessary.

b) Giving element length as 5units from MESH DOCK.

c) Extracting Mid-Surf for each component separately using Mid-Surf option from TOPO Dock.

d) Drawing necessary lines on the surface to get a good flow on the mesh, removing lines that don't contribute to the geometry capturing using join option.

e) If the geometry is symmetrical, we can delete the symmetrical surfaces and reflect the mesh elements later. Hence time taken to mesh the whole component is reduced significantly.

f) Meshing the surfaces of each component one by one.

Symmetrical Surfaces have been reflected using the Transform option.

g) Eliminating the Opposite trias, trias touching each other and trias touching the feature lines and performing smooth, reconstruct option to get a smooth and good quality mesh.

Marking the points near the circular region so that meshing does not distort the shape at the circular region.

FINAL FE MODEL of the given component with less number of trais and elements passing all the given Element Quality Criteria.

OUTCOME: 1) Auto Mid-surfing can be to the component having a uniform thickness.
2) Deleting the symmetrical surfaces can help us mesh the whole component faster by just reflecting the elements of symmetrical faces.
CONCLUSION: 1) Drawing the lines where ever necessary can help us get a smooth mesh.
2) Marking the points near the holes can help us resist the distortion of the circular shape after meshing near that region.
