Morphing Techniques on a Component
Report on Morphing methods on the Given Model.
- Aim: To understand and get used to the various morphing techniques on the given model.
- Procedure: 1. The primary step that needs to be performed on the model is the step of Geometric clean up. For this I used the Checks manager and cleaned the model.
Geometric clean up.
2. Then I switched on the Morphing tab and seperated the sheet according to its different PIDs.
3. Then for the upper sheet, I extended the given geometry in the X-axis as shown in the Demonstration video. For this, I Created a Morph box around the geometry by using the command New unde the boxes command.

Further I extended the geometry.
Extended surfaces
Similarly for the rest of the surfaces, I followed the same procedure and successfully created the following morphed model. We can clearly see the difference between the original and the morphed models as well.

Morphed Model
- Learning Outcomes: 1. How to handle the Morph Tab.
2. How to morph a given model successfully.
- Conclusion: In conclusion I would like to state that it is possible to morph a given model to its very minute detail and create a new model altogether. This method is used in the Automobile Industry as well. For eg: The Honda Brio is a hatchback and by the Morphing technique, a Boot was added to the model and new Sedan was created that was later launched as Amaze. Hence this Technique can be widely used in the Industry to a great extent.
