Week 7: Shock tube simulation project
introduction
the shock tube is an instrument to direct blast waves at a sensor or model to simulate an actual explosion and its effects. the stock tubes, for instance, are used to study aerodynamics under a wide range of temperature and pressure also it is used to see compressible flow phenomena and gas phase combustion rection.

A shock wave inside a shock tube could be generated by a little explosion or by high pressure which causes the diaphragm to rupture. A simple shock tube is rectangular or circular in cross-section made of metal,in which low pressure and high-pressure regions gas regions separates by the diaphragm.

to start operating of shock tube we need to rupture the diaphragm
there are some methods of bursting the diaphragm
- mechanically driven plunger or explosive charge
- another way is to build up enough pressure in the high-pressure region to burst the diaphragm

high-pressure region low-pressure shock wave created in the reverse direction that's why pressure decreases

as decrease so the temperature also decrease, buz pressure directly proportional to temperature
