Week 7-12-Creation of 1D Connectors Challenge
CONNECTORS
OBJECTIVE:
To mesh the component by following quality criteria and suitable connectors.
PROCEDURE:
- Mesh the component and clear all the quality criteria
- Go to 3d subpanel and choose connectors and select required connectors
- connect rail 2 & front truss 1 with seam quad (angled +capped +L)
- By choosing location node and select the components which are need to be connected and create connects
- connect left rail 2& front truss 1 with quad element from seam
- Do spot weld with 5mm dia and 2 layer for the element front truss 1 and 2 with right rail 1
- Connect Front Truss 1&2 with with Left Rail 1 with Hexa (Adhesive)
- Connect right rail 2 and Rear truss2 and then rear truss2 and left rail 2 with bolt
- select create hole if none
- connect Right Rail 1 and 2 and then left Rail 1 and 2 with spot weld rigid and spring element respectively
- spot weld rigid mentioned in RBE 2 and spot weld spring mentioned in CELAS1
- Then connect the rest component reinf with seam weld
RESULT:
By following above mentioned steps we achieve our objective
