BATTERY SWAPPING:

This method was proposed by the Government of India in the annual budjet of 2021-2022.This method proposes the swapping of a dead battery with a fully charged one at the battery swapping stations. since charging a vehicle takes a long time, this proposed method paves way for a quick alternative.GOROGO is a Taiwanese company that has been actively following this method and has swappes nearly 300 million batteries up to date.

FAST CHARGING OF ENERGY DENSE LITHIUM ION BATTERIES:

A major Constraint in an EV battery pack is its size, weight and consequently its cost, followed by longer charging time.

Wang and his team along with EC Power are in the process of commercializing fast charging batterties. this technology aims at temperature control within the battery. This is achieved by adding a ultrathin foil of nickel a as fourth component besides anode, cathode and electrolyte. A thermally stable dual salt electrolyte is used. The Nickel foil will act as a stimulus and regulate the battery temperature and reactivity. This kind of internal modulation allows 10 minute charging of battery and downsizing it, thereby cutting the overall cost of the battery.
