Week 6 - Creating a connection for the Rear door

AIM: To perform the connections of the car's rear door with different connection techniques.

PROCEDURE:

* For holes, bolts are used where they are necessary. By On, the CGI tool creates points on the hole and convert those 3D points into bolts. By the connection manager tool, connect all the surfaces by bolt feature.

* Create an RBE2 cluster element on the door hinge. By INFO tool arrest the sixth degree of freedom of the REB2 element for the movement of the door handle in one direction.

* Create necessary weld points by RBE3-HEXA-RBE3 FE Rep type. Give a PBUSH ID and select a material of the weld.

* By Feat2Curve tool in Classic mesh parameters, create a curve around the perimeter of the glass.

* The curves are converted into spot lines

* RBE3-CBUSH-RBE3 FE type is used for window connections.

* CBUSH is a spring element that will have damping coefficients or rust stiffness values

RESULT:

* CBUSH is created

* Spot welding is done for rigid support
