Week 6 - Creating connection for Rear door

AIM: To find the connections of the car doors and its window.

PROCEDURE:

1.firstly check the geometry up and if any geometry problem is there then clear it.

2.give a topo to the model.

3.give a 3D point in the place where he have to fix the bolts.

4.convert the 3d point into bolt point.

5.make the connection of the faces and the make the connection of all the attached faces.

6.by assigning the values of the faces we can fix the connection of the bolts with the faces.

7.assign a distance of 20 and make the connection in and out.

8.using REB2 we can connect the hindges of the car with the exterior parts.

9.using 2 nodes in REB2 we can connect the the elements of the hindges

10.open holes and bolt connections are done using simply REB2.

DOOR INSIDE MECHANISM:

1.We need to spot weld the mechanism using 3D point and converting it into spot weld points.

2.connection of the spot weld point into spot weld connections

3.we have to connect the glass with the extension

DOOR HANDLE:

by using 2 point option of the REB2 we have give the connection to the handle.

we need to assign the mass of the handle as shown in the screenshot.

WEATHER SEAL WITH THE WINDOW GLASS

construct the curve all around the window glass and then copy it using feat2curve tab and copy from transform option.

the connection type is spotline

go to the connection manager to assign a connection.we use the RB3-cbush-RB3 while making a connection.

set the value of S as 10 and the distance of 50.

CONCLUSION:

THE connection procedure is very important and we have understant it very well for making an assumption of the model very well.

LEARNING OUTCOME:

1.1D element and its outcome.

2.different types of connection.

3.assigning mass.

4.working mechanism of car door

5.assigning spot and seam weld.
