REVIT_usage of collabrate tool_Week 6
1) Open an architectural template . Using Manage tab set project base point and project shared coordinates for the project.
ans
aim:to Open an architectural template . Using Manage tab set project base point and project shared coordinates for the project.
procedure.
a;open the architectural tab and select grids and rename it.
b:now open the manage tab and select specify cordinates at point and select vertical and horizental grids make them 0'0"
c:we can see that changes have been applied.
d:select the collabrate tab and collabarate the project.
e:select save and save it
result;

2) Open another new file but with structural template. Using manage tab set project parameters same as architectural model. Copy the parameters from architectural model to the structural template or enter the parameters manually to the structural model.
aim;To create structural template and draw sturactural grids and paremeters same as question1
procedure:
a:open the stuructural tab and select stuructural grids.
b:draw the grids at right corner and rename it.
c:now open the manage tab and select the specify cordinate at a point and make vertical and horizental grids 0'0"
d:we can see that changes have been applied.
e:select the collabrate tab and collabarate the project.
f:select save and save it
result;

3) Re-open the architectural model. Using the tools under Collaborate tab make the architectural model as a central model ( enabling simultaneous working on the model )
aim:To Re-open the architectural model. Using the tools under Collaborate tab make the architectural model as a central model ( enabling simultaneous working on the model.
procedure:
a: open the architectural template file.
b:now open collabarate and select collabarate option.
c;Option will appaer how to collabrate the file.
d:select required option (within the network) and press ok.
result:

4) Create the Grids Longitudinal and Transverse pattern for the project similar to the task done in Week 2
aim:to Create the Grids Longitudinal and Transverse pattern for the project similar to the task done in Week 2.
procedure
a:select the architectural template .
b:open the architectural tab and select the grid option
c:now draw the grid with equal distance(30')
d:draw horizental and vertical grids by distance 30'
e:rename the grids .
results:

5) Synchronize the changes from the local copy to the central file of architectural model.
Aim:To Synchronize the changes from the local copy to the central file of architectural model.
procedure:
1.collabarate the project file and save it.
2.now select the synchronize tab .
3.we can see that project file will attach to central file .and it will sync the project file.
result:

6) Open the structural model and using collaborate tools save the model as central file.
AIM:To Open the structural model and using collaborate tools save the model as central file.
procedure:
a:open the structural template file.
b:now select the collabrate tab in toolbar.
c:now select the collabrate option.
d:we can see that new window will open now select collabrate within your network and save it.
result;

7) Under Collaborate tab, select the grids and levels from architectural model and using Copy Monitor try to copy the grids to structural model. See what happens when the copy monitored grid is moved around in the structural model
AIM": Under Collaborate tab, select the grids and levels from architectural model and using Copy Monitor try to copy the grids to structural model. See what happens when the copy monitored grid is moved around in the structural model
PROCEDURE:
a:Select tha arch tab and select the collaborate tab click on copy moniter.
b:now select link so structural model will linked.
c":now copy the grids and levels by selecting the multiple.
d:by finishing it .and open structural model that is linked with this project.
e:we will find grids and coloums in structural template.
result:

8) Create another new file with construction template. Save the new file as central model. This file will include both architectural and structural model. Under manage tab, Click manage links to link both architectural and structural files. Save the file and close all the files.
aim:to Create another new file with construction template. Save the new file as central model. This file will include both architectural and structural model. Under manage tab, Click manage links to link both architectural and structural files. Save the file and close all the files.
procedure:
a:open the architectural file and save it as combined file.
b:now select the collaborate tab and collaborate it cental file.
c:now select manage tab and select manage links.
d:by adjusting cordinates and aquiring cordinates select both arch and struc file add them.
e:we can see that files will combine will open in one file.
result:

9:Are the grids from structural and architectural model matching in the construction template created ? If yes the model is set up for project 2. If not work on the shared parameters and linking options under Manage link
aim:Are the grids from structural and architectural model matching in the construction template created ? If yes the model is set up for project 2. If not work on the shared parameters and linking options under Manage link
procedure:
a:if both models are not matched.
b:open structural template and aquire the cordinates.
d:and add archtectural file and aquire cordinates.
e:select position icon and relocate the intersection of grids.
f:we can see that both are matched.
g:now open in combine file we can see that both are matched directly.
