Week 5 Challenge : Surface wrap on Automotive Assembly

Aim : Topo clean up , merging the parts and warping the model with the target length 3mm.

Objective : clearing the unwanted geometry for external surface for the 3 components. Warping the surface.

Procedure:

Importing the engine geometry to ansa and clearing the unwanted cad components by deleting .

Gear box & transmission   Topo clean up .

Merging the 3 components .

File -merge – select the component-merge with current model-ok

Merged all 3 components with same process.

Assing the pids and removed unwanted pids.

Deleting by compress option . it will remove all un wanted PIDS . In which cad model or geometry is not  present.

Closed all unwanted holes for the surface wraping.

Go to mesh and wrap the component.

Mesh -elements-wrap -constant length -mesh length or target length -adding the content to octree -run .

conclusion :

Topo clean-up , merging the different parts in one model, wrapping the external surface with the constant valves is applied for the given model .

To generate the single volume for the model.
