Week 5 Challenge : Surface wrap on Automotive Assembly

Aim:-

For the given models, check for the geometrical errors and delete surfaces which are unwanted for Surface wrap as shown in the videos. After clearing geometry, Merge all 3 models and perform surface wrap.

Target length for Wrap = 3 mm

Procedure:-

Import engine model from local into ANSA by open option

2.now we have to clear geometry from outside for surface wrap. Noticed to many rings are formed at the feature of the component we have to remove all that unwanted feature and rings from model.

3.now press universal delete option and delete all rings are in air. For delete quick and more geometry at one time hide surface one by one note PID option was activated while doing hide.

4.after hide all major PID we have remaining with rings and unwanted surfaces delete all of this.

5.now by examine all outer surface and delete overlapped surface.

6.create new surface which is missing and those are cause of hole.

7.now import transmission model and doing same as we doing on engine model, remove all overlapped surface and rings which is not so mean

8.import gearbox model as delete unwanted surface

9.closed all holes by using new surface option

10.now open engine model we are going to merge all three components in one frame, for that go to file option and hit merge and by clicking the transmission and gearbox we got merge all this with each other .

11.for surface wrap go to element click wrap option in that use constant length and after that give mesh length 3mm ,double click on option and select all PID click right arrow and do run .

12.after a while wrap is applied over a model

13.we can see hollow portion of the model by hideing end part of model.
