Week 5 Battery characteristics using drive cycle

The Model Parameters:

Here we are using the some blocks:

Signal builder : In this block we are writing the current values ,we are importing the ex sheet into the signal builder.

Current Controller source :

You can initialize your circuit with a specific AC or DC current. If you want to start the simulation in steady-state, the block input must be connected to a signal starting as a sinusoidal or DC waveform corresponding to the initial values.

Battery :

Implements a generic battery model for most popular battery types. Temperature and aging (due to cycling) effects can be specified for Lithium-Ion battery type.

The Nomial voltage : 7.2

Releated Capacity :5.4

inital soc : 100

Bus Selector :

with this we can connect one sihnal bus to many signal bus.

Scope:

we are seeing the results with the help of scope.

Powergui:

when we add powegui to our model ,we choose to select the slover types. In our model we select the continuous ,with the slover continuous , large system with many events may simulates,to capture small step size we using continuous .

speed depends on continuous states and Dynamics.

Model connection:

The signal builder block connected to current controller source ,from this connected battery , next to bus selector ,in the we have three outputs one input with these outputs ,we are seeing the voltage profile ,current profile and state of charge.

The total simulation time is 3000 seconds.

The PLOT explation :

The current plot :

When the Battey before charges the current is zero ,when the battery starts charging ,the starts flucatates ,the current according to the given currents.

The total time seconds 3000 ,when the Battery fully charged ,the current will constant at 1500 seconds.

The Voltage Profile :

when the battery charging the voltage starts 15 v , when the battery charge the battery voltage reduced ,when the battery Fully Charged ,the voltage may get constant at 1500 seconds.

The state of charge :

when before use the batery ,the soc will be 100 percent ,after starts ,using the battery ,slowly discharge . The discharge rates depends on the current or load the high current using the battery discharge at fast rate .

Battery discharge may depends o the load ,when we using one load ,it may discharge at 5 to 10% .If we add slightly more load the battery discharge at 10 to 40%.

When the battery soc will at ZERO seconds the soc will be 100 percent , the soc will reduced the voltage will be increasaed .at some some time the soc will be comes to 96 %, at 1500 seconds.
