Week 4 -Wire Bending Challenge
Wire bending
Procedure:
Assigning the material property for the given component.

now we have to assign contacts between the wheel, wire and lever. The contact used will be frictional from wire to lever.

Now we have to assign a revolute joint in order to rotation of the wheel

after the operation is complete we now need to mesh the component.

For the wheel to move we need to give a Rotary movement in anti clockwise direction.

Results:
Total deformation of aluminum alloy

equivalent stress of aluminum alloy

equivalent strain of aluminum alloy

Equivalent stress of wire

Total deformation of copper alloy

equivalent stress of copper alloy

equivalent strain of copper alloy

Equivalent stress of wire

Total deformation of Magnesium alloy

equivalent stress of magnesium alloy

equivalent strain of magnesium alloy

Equivalent stress of wire

Conclusion:
As from the above results the copper alloy NL has the maximum equivalent stress and magnesium alloy NL as the least equivalent stress.
