Week-4 Challenge WOT Condition Part-2

1)

Mapped model Dynamic Model
uses a set of look up table to characterize performance models the dynamic behaviour of the system
Mapped engine models models overall engine characteristics captures the behaviour of lower level components
models a mapped model motor and drive electronics operating in torque-control mode. models based on system level equation
takes less time takes more time

Go to Variant and change the label mode active choice

.

Fuel economy is expressed in the terms of Miles per Gallon. It represents the number of miles the vehicle can go using a quantity of fuel either petrol or diesel. Amount of energy required to move an engine driven car through a given distance is determined and compared with amount of energy required to move a electrical vehicle over the same distance.

Three main factors are considered for fuel model. They are vehicle speed, fuel volume flow and battery power.

3. The HEV application reference is shown below.

To model WOT response, WOT is selectedd from the drive cycle block and simulation is run. There are 6 plots.

plot 1 -

Now the wind velocity and gradability is changed in the environment block. Wind velocity is set to 10m/s and grade angle to 6 degree.

The plots 1 shows the value of target velocity or vehicle velocity,

plot 2 shows the value of engine speed, motor speed or generator speed

plot 3 shows the value of motor torque, engine torque, generator torque,

plot4,5,6 shows the battery current, battery SOC and fuel economy repsectively.

EV reference application was opened and all other conditions were kept same with wind velocity 10m/s and grade 6 degree.and the results are shown as per below.
