Week 4 - 2D Meshing for Sheet Metal

Geometry cleanup

Cleared all errors that popped in Geometry Checks manager using release cons and topo option

Mid surface extraction

Used Midsurface -> Skin option for extracting mid surface

Added Quality criterias, mesh parameters and set perimeter

Grouped parts of similar thickness into a single property using Set PID option as shown

Meshing

Cleaned the unwanted cuts and Hot points in the mid surface using Macros-> Cut & Join

Used best option for meshing

Used Reconstruct option for remeshing areas that didn’t have fine mesh and smooth option to fine the mesh flow and to satisfy the given criteria

Created extra cuts to achieve fine mesh and then joined them

Removed tria elements as much as possible using split, join,Collapse and smo
