Week 3 - 2D meshing for Sheet metal

Geometry cleanup

Cleared all errors that popped in Geometry Checks manager using release cons and topo option

Mid surface extraction

Used offset option and Midsurface option for extracting mid surface

Added Quality criterias and set perimeter

Meshing

Used Rm.Dbl option to remove similar surface

Cleaned the unwanted cuts in the mid surface

Used best option for meshing

Used Reconstruct option for remeshing areas that didn’t have fine mesh

Removed tria elements as much as possible using split, join and smooth to fine the mesh

Completed meshing and then mirrored the meshed surface
