Week 4.2: Project Transient simulation of flow over a throttle body
Introduction:
A throttle is used to control the mass flow rate of the fow at the outlet. By adjustment of the valve one can have precise control over mass flow rate and velocity of the flow. In this problem a transient (Time-Based) approach is taken to understand how the flow will wvolvw in time.
The simulation is done for 0.1 second.
The results are as follows:
Note: The problem setup is same as the steady-state problem.

Conclusion:
The purpose of this simulation was to understand how the properties - Pressure, Velocity, Mass-flow rate- unfold in time as the throttle angle changes. This simulation was conducted for 0.1 seconds where the angle changed at 0.02 seconds nad 0.04 seconds by `25^0`. It is evident from the plots that as the angle changes the effects can be seen on the mass-flow rate, velocity, pressure.
