Week 4-1D Element Creation Challenge
Aim- To craete 1d elements
Objective- To mesh the given component with the size of 5 units and create the 1-D elements with the given cross section and D.O.F.
Procedure-
1.Import the igs model from import tool and create the mid surface for the bracket

2.Mesh the brackets with thickness 5 units

3. Create the rbe2 link and constrain the translation D.O.F for the same

4.Create the Rod element
Cross-Section: BOX- Dimension a= 12 mm
dimension b=10 mm
Thickness t= 0.75 mm

5.Create Rbe3 element on bracket 2 and constrain all D.O.F for the same

6. Create the Beam element
Cross-Section: I Section- Dimension a= 8 mm
Dimension b= 10 mm
Dimension c= 8.5 mm
Thickness t1= 0.75 mm
Thickness t2= .6 mm
Thickness t3= .6 mm

7.Constraining the x and y dof for rbe3 link

8. Creating the Bar element
Cross-section: X section- Dimension DIM1= 5 mm
Thickness DIM2= 1.2 mm
Dimension DIM3= 10 mm
Thickness DIM4= 1.2mm

9. Apply the mass of magnitude 10 with the RBE2 link.

10. Join the two components with Spring elements.

11. Turn on the 1-D detailed element representation and the final result component will be viewed as shown in the image below
