Week 4-1D Element Creation Challenge

objective: the given component create mesh on the component and the 1d elements such as bar ,beam,rod with given cross section .

procedure

step 1; import the model as as iges mode.

step 2 : after importing model delete all the solid parts then create the mid surface of each bracket.

step 3: after creatiaon of mid surface then mesh component at 5 unit of element size

step 4:create 1d element on the bracket such as rod beam bar rigid rbe3 spring and masses .

1. rigids: create rigids on the bracket of given position A

2.rbe3. create rbe elements on the b and c position

3. property and material and area of cross section bar,beam,rod.

create property and material and area of cross section of the bar rod beam. and assign to the respective of their property.

1 area of cross section of the rod is box section

2 area of beam section is I section

3 . area of the bar is X section

step 4. create 1D element bar,rod,beam. and assign the property and section

1. Rod should canstrianed with rigids element and bar and beam are constrained with rbe3 element.

step 5 .create mass element at magnitude 10 on the rigids element at postion of D and E .

step 6. create the spring element between two braceket.

outcome;from challenge i learn the creating of 1D element and then creating property and cross section then exatrcting mid surface and mesh the component.

conclusion : the given parallel bracket has done with mesh and created 1d element on the given dimension.
