Week 3 Verification of Weld Joints

OBJECTIVE:

By using three types of materials to simulate the welding.

1. Stainless steel

2. Stainless steel and Aluminium alloy

3. Stainless steel, copper and bronse

CASE 1: STAINLESS STEEL:

CASE 2: STAINLESS STEEL PLATES, COPPER RIBS, BRONSE WELDS:

CASE 3: STAINLESS STEEL PLATES AND ALUMINIUM ALLOY WELD:

RESULT:

COMPARING TO 3 CASES, THE EQUELENT STESS OF THE FULL STAINLESS STEEL IS GETTING MORE STRESS ON THE WELDS. THERE IS NO MAJOR DIFFERENCE ON THE DEFORMATIONS AND STARINS AT ALL.
