Week 3 Challenge : CFD meshing on Turbocharger
Aim
Check for the geometrical errors to make appropriate volumes. Create and assign PIDs as shown in the video. Perform surface mesh with the given target lengths as per PIDs.
- Blade stage-1 = 1 mm
- Blade stage-2 = 1 mm
- Impeller = 2 mm
- Shaft rotor = 1 mm
- Turbo casing = 5 mm
- Compressor casing = 5 mm
- Inlet casing cover = 5 mm
Perform Volumetric mesh for the required volumes.
Solving
Import the model for solving

1. Identify the single coons in the model and solve for single coons. In case of single coons we need to create a faces to cover the surface. In such way we solve the single coons.

2. Now check for inteseptions error. This may have been caused due to the triple coons. In order to solve for triple coons we need to delete the unwnted surface. The we have to run the geomentry check to confirm the model is free from errors.
3. Once the geomentry is clear from error we have to asign the PIDs for the parts.

4. After the PIDs are assigned the model is ready for meshing. Considering the above mentioned quality criteria for meshing the individual parts.

5. Before volumetric meshing surface meshing has to be carried out by specifying the given quality crteria by folowing the above mentioned procedure, thus the surface meshed model is obtained.

6. Volumetric meshing is done by identifying the volumes, and pefroming the tetra meshing. Delete the non required volume if nessecary.

7. Conclusion
Thus the volumetric mesh has been performed and desired results obtained.
