Week 3 Challenge : CFD meshing on Turbocharger
I Have Learned about Turbocharger in this challenge
In the PID Manager, the PID parts are already been assigned so it's easy to clear the overlapping face and we can clear it by compress tool
The triple cons and double cons can't be viewed properly so we can go for a geometry check and identify the errors
Using the intersect option in the face,we can mark it as first and second,it'll be helpful to clear the intersecting errors
By using the face - new - coons option, we can clear the single cons
Using the Transform option in curves, we can create a curve and it can help to create a surface
If we want a copy of the plane,we can select 3 points and Transform - copy - entities - symmetry - mirror 3 points plane
We need the shaft to flow in a single volume but there was extra surface so we want to delete the surfaces which makes an error
By using Cons - project, we can clear the overlapping faces and it also help to create a face
We need volume in the geometry but it's been opened, to do mesh we need to close the gap
Assigning the PIDs and giving names to each of the geometry one by one so we can do the surface mesh according to the millimetres we want them to mesh
We can't mesh everything because the values are different so we can freeze one by one
1 : Blade stage 1, Blade stage 2 & Shaft rotor - 1mm

2: Impeller - 2mm -
3: Turbo Casing, Compressor casing, Inlet Casing cover - 5mm -
After Unfreezing the surface mesh, we can go for volumteric mesh
In the Volumetric deck, Under Volume - we can define it so it will run a check
We're concentrating only on internal flow so we can delete the external volume. We can mesh it up double click on the undefined and selecting the Tetra CFD and after that we can remesh as shown in fig....
To check whether it has been properly meshed, we can cut the plane by Cut plane - New - Default XY which we needed to cut and create a new part and by clicking ok,the cut plane will appear as shown in above figure
